I assume his rabid nature is the result of going too long without blood, since none of the other vampires are like that. Or maybe it's only an issue that occurs in male vampires for whatever reason, who knows.
The fact that Ko kept focusing on “why is vampire here” “why would you kill vampire” here annoyed me and overshadowed other things. From the beginning his naïveté about vampires and attitude that drinking human blood is fine, didn’t sit well with me. He seemed detached from normal human thinking (still don’t know about family circumstances except neglected child, dissociation from peers). Or is his view of vampires solely comes from his attraction/fetish towards nazuna/ being sucked ?
And why all of them were standing dumbfounded even after they know its a vampire out for blood, they barely stopped him ?
Ko is idiot, but what about the other two? Isn’t it normal human reaction to run ?
I am guessing the ring is connected to the missing teacher’s past, which acted as catalyst to turn him into dust.
I dunno if I like that detective womans character but I think it's awesome how the entire style of the show changes with her around, it's suddenly like a film noir.
The worst episode so far. Completely breaks with the mood to introduce a contrived antagonist for a contrived climax. I am tired of the constant introduction of new characters after the fact, without any foreshadowing or plausible reason for their existence. Very convenient for the plot. Very contrived and annoying for the attentive viewer. Plop! Here is a character out of nothing. Why? Because the writer needed it. And you have to deal with it. Excellent. Genius. Masterful. Steeped in cow dung.
The anime almost completely drifted down to soap opera niveau after seven or so good episodes. Avoiding the main plot and conflict to spend time with utterly unimportant side characters that, even worse, aren't important to the main plot. This is when you know a story was not written for the anime format, and if yes, the writer failed in this task. It has the mark of a serialized manga that wanders aimlessly after it established the world and its characters. But that doesn't work in anime, and much less in the movie format.
Such a shame that a solid concept and competent production ended up on the trash heap of botched stories.
holy shit I love this episode so much. from the color changing depending on the tone of the scene (or how it turns gray looking when the Anko the detective come in like it's some old movie about a detective solving murders) and the blend of chill vibes and horror, once it was done I didn't even notice and wanted more.... damn
Man this show certainly is full of surprises one of which includes the new character for this episode it’s another woman but it’s not another vampire but a detective who HUNTS vampires. Enter Anko, a middle age woman who appears to be a specialist kind of detective and apparently she was looking for the guy that Kou and Nazuna encountered last Akkun. And man the moment Kou panics about this guy’s name because when you think about it he’s only just met him not too long ago, is a feeling of: “Oh shit! What do I do now?” sort of vibe. And immediately Anko probes Kou for answers and the scene in the cafe just gets so intense very quickly. And it just gives me the impression that she isn’t someone you want to mess around with.
So okay new character out the way, we’re back to more chilled out fun stuff with Kou joining Akira and Mahiru in some 9th mystery wonders about the school which is essentially them being friends and messing about that’s all well and good but the final mystery of their little exportation shall we say turns out to be a very real indeed. And then the atmosphere just changes again and then a male teacher is haunting the school premises in one of the classrooms and then it turns out that he’s actually a vampire and then ultimately attacks Akira, he’s got her pinned down, Mahiru is trying to fend this guy off and trying to get Kou to help out which he didn’t do initially only because he was paralysed with shock and fear at the fact that there’s another vampire in his presence and then Anko shows up again deals with the problem and the vampire is dust by sunlight.
And keep in mind, this was not a natural vampire like Nazuna or the other girls at all, no, this was a normal human man who didn’t have long to live anyway and had been turned into a vampire from what I can assume quite recently and was struggling to get his thirst for blood, doesn’t die from natural causes but from the natural way a vampire dies when sunlight comes. And then there’s me just trying to figure out what the hell just happened because we had gone from normal tone of the show so far to a dark and serious show the next. I mean god, what a sudden turn of events and all because of Anko showing up, what a character and what impact she’s left for me. A superb episode if I do say so myself, really didn’t see it coming when I saw it, just utterly superb.
Miss Integra, I mean Anko appears. It's about time Yamori have some second thoughts about wanting to become a vampire. Better now than after the fact. That starved teacher-vampire was scary reminder that not every vampire is like Nezuna and not everyone gets turned into one willingly.
The early episodes is kind of boring.... but starting from episode 9... It's starting to get interesting. I thought it's just a story of Kou and Nazusa... Guess I'm wrong~ Anko is very an interesting character~
It's weird why the vampire dude dead by sunlight/ring? Can't wait to see why...
It's more weird why he restrain himself from drinking human blood? They won't die right? Kou got sucked many time and still alive... Or is he scare to attack human just because of blood? Hmmm..
that was fun! I like the vampire hunter lady, for a minute I thought she might also be a vampire herself but I guess not. The past few episodes were kind of meh but now I'm excited to see more of lady detective
